Also you gather important items and more to score/health to build your health pool etc for those harder jumps!.

Obstacles? It can jump around , with spicky things, and moving things afoot to leap some serious pitfalls. It has timed functions...that adds this feel.

Then we speak of those nasty things some folks gotta stay the hell away frome... those creatures which like' getting them at you.

If any creature moves fast you need more strategic placement timing.... It can add loads which would be serious tough going unless your planning has merit! And it just might not fit all of these things all at once for better planning....but only with a serious gamer in charge is there just hope!,
